Go, Delilah, Go!You wouldn’t guess it looking at me, but I’m a marathoner! Well, I’ve finished a half-marathon in one go (13.1 miles) but didn’t slow down and I know I could have kept going. My favorite thing in the world is to get out and walk or run. They think I’m about 8 years old now, 50 pounds and a black lab mix. I’m not a baller, fetcher, or a chewer, but simply content to relax near you waiting for our next walking adventure. I’m so good on a leash and everyone who has met me can’t believe how polite I am with leash and social manners. I am shy when not out walking. When I get nervous, I’m quick to remove myself quietly and watch from afar. I am a driven leader when on walks but at home I prefer to have another confident dog around to make me feel comfortable. I have also stayed with many cats and chickens and prefer to give them all plenty of space, though I can’t hide my tail wagging sometimes when I see the cats being silly. I am house broken and sleep on a dog bed. I never chew or dig, only bark when the other dogs tell me to, and I respond so quickly to any little redirection. My ideal home would be able to provide longer walks daily and a calm home life. I’ve been around older children and new animals without issue but due to my preference for quiet, would probably do best in a home without babies or toddlers.

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
