Dean American Bulldog Mix Tukwila, WA

Dean is a very handsome boy who is pocket sized bulldog mix. He weighs 43 lbs and is a young adult, so maybe 3 years old. Poor Dean was dumped at a rural intersection in Oklahoma that is known as dumping ground for dogs. I have personally picked up 3 other dogs from the same spot. Dean was spotted in the area by several people who observed that he was lingering near the body of a dead dog. When I went to the location I found the body of a beautiful small brindle female dog that was presumably Dean's friend and he didn't want to leave her. Dean wouldn't come to me at first but several trips to the location to gain his trust and some fried chicken finally did the trick. When I put him in my car he just snuggled himself into a blanket and you could tell he was grateful to be safe. Dean has since been around dogs of all sizes at the rescue and does great with everyone. He is happy and friendly. He is a little dominant over food but he shares food daily with other dogs and there are no problems. He doesn't react to cats but I think he would chase them if they ran from him so to be safe, he shouldn't go to a home with kitties. He walks well on the leash and does well in the crate. He will make a great companion and would be an easy dog for a first time dog owner because he doesn't fuss on the leash or in the crate and he is not a barker and has a good size, big enough to go on adventures but small enough to pick him up and as a cuddle buddy.

He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found.

Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above)
