Meet Charlie
Meet David, a Poodle mix that is sure to win your heart. We think the other possible mix could be Poodle with Spaniel, Poodle with Shitzu and finally Poodle with Lhasa. We don't know but DNA is only a click away for those inquiring minds!
He was found as a stray about 5 months ago by a local shelter and adopted to a family. They lost interest in the dog and surrender little David to Duffy's Friends. Since this dog has had two home in 12 months we are going to look for the right match. Charlie weighs 14 lbs and is housebroken within reason for his age.
We are going to require that the family have time to train the dog and of course like all Duffy's dogs, a traditional fenced in yard is required. We are going to say no to cats, not that he would be bad but he does not need to have anything take him off his focus of being a great dog.
He is neutered and his vaccinations are current. He is recently groomed and on flea and heart worm preventative medicine. The first day we got him ran around the fenced in yard with joy! He never got the adequate exercise that a young dog needs.
He is sweet and a good dog and he was rescued in time. Like most dogs - the first 12 months they find them passed around as 90% of the dogs do not stick in the home that purchases them as puppies.. This is the major reason why shelters are so crowded as everyone wants a dog and then the emotion fades away. You will notice he has a heart shape brown spot on his side and that is exactly what he is - a love of a dog.
Duffy's Friends requires children over 12 years of age if they live in the home, home ownership and a long history of owing a dog in your name that we can verify from a vet reference.
