Introducing our handsome boy, Darth! This big boy was surrendered by his owner to a county shelter when they moved – it’s so hard to understand how after having him for years, they could just give him up! No worries Darth, we have made it our mission to find you a true family that will love and care for you for the rest of your days!

Darth and his loooong legs have been a great addition to our shelter. He does not have accidents in his kennel area so we believe that he’s housebroken. He is very good on a leash, pulling initially with the excitement of the adventure, but calms quickly and strolls great. He plays well with most dogs, but definitely prefers the ladies. Darth is a bit hesitant when meeting new people, but it doesn’t take him long to relax and then he’ll sit next to you and put one of his big paws in your lap! He does get nervous around small children, we don’t think he was ever introduced to them in his first home, so teens and older would be the best fit for him. He’s happy and athletic – he’ll make a great hiking and jogging buddy and he enjoys a good dip in our baby pool.
