Darla Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix Haworth, NJ

Darla and her five siblings were born to senior momma, Hope, around 1/10/21. Left out in the cold with a retained placenta, she was unable to produce enough milk to feed all of her puppies and some did not survive to see help arrive. They were brought into a small shelter, and staff immediately sent out a plea for help. Thankfully, a wonderful experienced foster stepped up, and we had this family moved to her within 24 hours. Once Hope was treated, her condition immediately improved and she was able to successfully nurse.

From her foster momma: Darla is such a sweet girl, petite compared to her brothers. Will get in there a wrestle a little bit otherwise she is more laid back and easy going. She likes to be held and one on one time. Was timid when we brought her into bed alone. But after petting her and just talking to her she settled.
