Daria Shepherd & Australian Kelpie Mix Rochester, NY

DARIA is a young shepherd maybe kelpie mix who is just finishing up raising what will be her last litter of puppies, as she will be spayed (included in her adoption fee) as soon as her milk dries up fully. She is available for adoption and deserves all the loving and attention she can get all of her own after working so hard to keep her 9 (!) pups healthy and nourished. We will share more about Daria's personality as her foster gets to know her and she gets used to not being responsible for all of her pups anymore. More pics to come, also. She's 50 lbs or maybe a bit over - she's tall and thin.

Daria is undergoing heartworm treatment (at expense of rescue until finished) and will be retested and treated (by the rescue) until treatment finished and tests negative. We can answer any questions you might have about heartworm and the treatment she's undergoing.

Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip after 6 months of age at our clinic, $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue.

We do most application processing virtually and dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available.

PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada - sorry!)
