Danny's Story

Are you looking for a constant companion in a tiny little package? You will want to meet Danny. We think he’s a miniature Australian shepherd mix (with a dash of fox and lemur mixed in for good measure) and is around 25 lbs. Regardless of his breed, he’s a 100% sweetheart. When he’s awake, he will be gazing deeply into your eyes, and when he’s asleep, he will be snuggled right up against you.

He’s a puppy (just under a year old) and is still learning about house training, but that’s nothing that a belly band can’t solve while he’s learning. He’s worth being patient with because once he bonds, he is loyal and true. He takes baths like a champ—no sensitive feet issues with Danny. He also loves to take walks, but be ready for sudden pulls if he sees a rabbit or squirrel because he’s prey-driven. For that reason, a house without rabbits, guinea pigs or other small mammals is important.

He is likely to thrive in a variety of households. He’s comfortable living with other dogs, both big and small, and males and females. However, being with his person is his favorite thing, so a home where he will have your company throughout the day will suit him the best. He is so sweet and submissive that he would likely do really well in a home with children, too.

Danny is in foster in Aurora, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. *

You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/danny

You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.
