Meet Daniel

Oh hi there, I’m Daniel and I LOVE YOU! And you and you ... I love everyone I’ve ever met! My favorite place to be is wherever you are and the closer we are, the better!

My foster mom says I’m 80 pounds of good boy and am a typical, goofy 3.5 year old German Shepherd who loves love, high fives, play, and has lots of energy. I love to go for walks with my foster mom and sometimes we even go for runs together and I like those too! I know that I’m supposed to go potty outside and, since I try very hard to be a good boy, I always do! I haven’t had a single accident in my foster home! My crate is not my favorite place but I’ll go in there for a treat. I won’t complain for too long, but prefer to have my own room when I can’t be with you if you’ll let me.

My favorite things are frozen peanut butter kongs and people! Even though I haven’t known them long, I like my furry foster siblings ... but people are my favorite. I love to lean into my foster parents to remind them that free hands are meant for pets. Even though I’m very gentle and sweet, my foster mom says I shouldn’t go to a forever home with tiny humans because I might get too excited to see them and knock them over. My foster parents say I’m very smart and I even know a few tricks! I can’t wait to show my forever family so they can see what a good boy I am. Could that be you? I hope so! My adoption fee is $250!

To adopt this pet, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our dogs come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the dog you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where dogs can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting a dog in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Thanks so much for caring about a needy animal!
