Dandelion Border Collie Mix Schaumburg, IL

Happily innocent, vibrant, joyful. This teenaged, 55-pound Border Collie mix (of what we can only guess), Dandelion (Dan for short) is the animal embodiment of the joyful little flower. Housebroken; great with other dogs, cats and children (although the children should be a bit older as he has a tendency to jump and get mouthy when excited); and a good leash walker and car rider, this lovable lug is a simple pleasure who will definitely brighten your day.  ??

During the day, Dan spends time in his crate when home alone. At night, he has full run of the house but prefers to sleep on his dog bed in the bedroom with the resident dogs. ??Outside, Dan’s playful personality shines. He simply loves to play – in the snow, with a tennis ball, with his canine foster sisters, with his people. And he loves the cold weather! Dan takes treats very gently (peanut butter filled Kongs are his favorite).??Whip smart, Dan will benefit from abundant activity – both mental and physical – patience, attention and consistency. He is learning that good things happen when he sits – treats, the leash, dinner, toys! Dan is an energetic, on-the-go, ready-for-action type who responds to positive reinforcement and praise. 

Dan would love to find a home where there’s an endless supply of toys and tennis balls and where his people love to play as much as he does. He would do best with a family with an active lifestyle and patience to help him with ongoing training. ??If you are looking for a canine companion who will fill your life with love, affection, fun and an endless supply of goofy antics, then look no further – Dan is in the house!
