Meet Dakota
Meet Dakota! Dakota is a very sweet Border Collie girl (with shorty legs!) who loves to sit on your lap and snuggle. She is crate trained and potty trained. She is about 1 and is 25 or so lbs. She walks well on a leash but tends to stop every few houses for no apparent reason but can be bribed with praise or treats. She loves playing with her 1 year old house mate and has ignored the cats of the household so far. She really would be such an amazing dog for a family who is looking for unlimited affection and loyalty!
A fully fenced in yard is preferred for placement.
3/13/21 Update - Dakota has tested positive for Heartworm. We would love a foster-to-adopt home who is willing to take Dakota through her Heartworm treatment. Starfish covers all the costs, but Dakota will need a home where she can be on exercise restrictions as part of her treatment. Basically no other playful dogs or active children. Please message us if you have questions and we can walk you through the process.
The adoption fee of $400 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed!
