Meet Daisy
Meet Daisy: The Heartwarming, Heartworm Survivor Ready for Fun!
Daisy is an affectionate and active German Shepherd mix, a true bundle of love and energy at just 2 years old. Sadly, this sweet girl has already conquered the battle against heartworms, and keeping her on rest during treatment was no small feat for a puppy bursting with youthful vigor. But now, she's fully treated and ready to embrace the world with open paws!
Daisy loves any dog that will have her. She is all puppy so while other dogs might love her zeal, cats might be a bit more cautious. We would recommend she meet your cat(s) as she will need some training, socialization and patience when meeting and learning how to interact with cats. She just loves to play!
Daisy's energy knows no bounds, and there's no more rest time for her - she's all about running, playing, and having a blast. She's looking for someone who's willing to invest the time and patience required to help her grow both physically and mentally.
This sweet and fun-loving girl is ready to steal your heart! Daisy is estimated to be around 2 years old, but she still has that puppy spirit and loves nothing more than a game of ball in the sunshine.
While she may be a little shy at first, Daisy quickly warms up and becomes a loving and affectionate companion. She arrived at the shelter in 7/2022, and as a German Shepherd mix, she weighs around 40 pounds of pure love.
Daisy has made great strides in overcoming her insecurities. She was initially super terrified of passing cars on walks and strangers, but with time and love, she's making progress. She can show reactive behaviors towards other dogs at times, and we're diligently working on getting her an official temperament test soon.
But don't let that deter you - Daisy is good on the leash and knows how to sit for treats, and she's incredibly loving with people she knows well. She's also shown more positive interactions with dogs in the play yard than in her kennel.
If you're ready to welcome this heartwarming survivor into your home and heart, Daisy is eager to be your loving companion. Be prepared for endless adventures, games of fetch, and the unwavering loyalty of a furry friend who'll be forever grateful for your love and care.
