Meet Daisy
PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION BELOW!
Breed: Chihuahua Mix
Age: puppy born Nov 11, 2020
Weight: 4 Lbs
Good With Dogs: yes
Good With Cats: Unknown
Good With Kids: no small kids due to her size
Energy Level: puppy energy
Special Needs: Experienced dog parent, another younger dog ideal
Daisy is a very active young puppy who is ready to find her forever home! Her forever home should have a younger dog that she can bond with as she will be separating from one of her litter mates who she has been fostering with. (Her sibling Max is also available for adoption).
She is expected to remain a petite little girl and therefore will not be placed in a home with small children.
Being very active and currently teething, she would not be a good fit for a home with a senior dog.
She came to our rescue with separation anxiety which is improving but she does not like to be alone, which is why it’s important to have a companion dog in the home. She will not do well in an apartment.
She is working on potty training with potty pads and will need an adopter to continue working with her.
Due to her size and age, she is too young to spay so the adopter will be required to provide proof of spay once she is old enough.
Daisy was rescued in California and is currently fostering there, so there will not be an opportunity for a meet and greet prior to adoption. Transport to the east coast through one of our volunteers will be provided.
Requirements:
> Another small dog in the home
> Experienced adopter
We currently adopt in the states of PA*, NJ, NY**, DE, and some areas of MD. We cannot accept applications from other states at this time.
*Eastern half
**Excluding NYC, Bronx, Long Island
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our adoption application which you can find on our website at www.dutchcountryanimalrescue.org/adopt.html
We will reply within one week if your application meets the criteria for this dog.
Our adoption fees are on our application.
All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and DHPP, heartworm tested, treated for worms and fleas and most are microchipped.
We are not a shelter, we are 100% volunteer public charity. All of our dogs are in foster homes until they are adopted. Since we are not a shelter, we do not receive government funding. We are a public charity that relies solely on funds through our adoption fee, fundraisers, and private donations. Since we are 100% volunteer based, all funds collected go directly towards the rescue and vet costs of our dogs.
We take each rescue personally and spend a lot of effort trying to match the right dog to the right family. Thank you for considering one of our rescued dogs.
