Meet Dahlia! Dahlia came to CCHS on a transport from Texas. Her birthday is estimated to be 12/2/2019 and she weighed 52 pounds on 5/20/2022. We're still getting to know her but she's been a sweet girl so far! The shelter that sent Dahlia to us pulled her and her puppies from an area kill shelter in Texas. They said she is a couch potato, loves car rides and walks. No chickens for her though as she finds them to be tasty. She is crate trained and she loves other dogs but it's best to feed her separately. She loves to dig so she can't be trusted in a fenced in area as she'll do anything to get to her people. A long lead while outside would be best for her or just hang out with her in a fenced in area and she'll be as happy as can be!

The adoption fee is $100.00. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Erlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption.
