Dagwood was in an over-crowded shelter in Independence, MO when we got word that he needed a rescue. He is <b> CUTE AS A BUTTON </b> a total Heinz 57. He is also about 5 months old.<p><br/><br/>From Dagwood's foster mom: "He is quite the character...he is total puppy so he has his spurts of energy. He knows the word "no" and he walks well on a leash. He knows"sit". He sleeps on a doggie bed next to my bed the entire night through without having to go outside. He is also crate trained and we are working on housebreaking and he is doing better. He gets along GREAT with all the dogs and loves playing with them. He loves his stuffed toys and tennis balls. He is pretty good about fetching the toys too! He is quite the cute little boy. Dagwood loves people and doesn't like to be seperated from you. We have saved many dogs with heartworm, tick borne illnesses, broken legs, missing legs, blind dogs, a new deaf puppy, dogs suffering from Parvo and especially senior dogs that may need expensive health care to help them get ready for adoption. This year, in one weekend, we brought in 20+ dogs from the <a href="http://boatmountianclan.blogspot.com/"target="_blank">Boat Mountain Tragedy</a>, and that depleted our emergency funds. For the first time in 6 years we have had to stop bringing in new rescue dogs until we can get more financial support- as our rescue is supported only thru adoptions and generous donations.
