Curtice Beagle Rockwood, MI

Curtice is an approx 5 year old Beagle. He weighs about 23 pounds. After arriving from the shelter it was discovered that he was heartworm positive. He has since had treatment. Curtice was formally kept as an outdoor dog with very little socialization. He is looking for a very patient and loving home. He is super shy and has a tendency to hide behind furniture with noises and quick movement. If things are quiet, he will settle in on the couch. He is easily handled and has never shown any aggression. Other dogs are fine as long as they aren't too bold with him. He isn't fond of other dogs in his face. His nose leads him to counter surfing. He is currently crated when not under supervision as he will look for anything to eat and will potty if left unattended. Going outside can be scary and he will need a secure fence to ensure he doesn't escape. We are currently looking for a foster to adopt home. Which means that you would foster him until he is rechecked for heartworm and has a dental cleaning completed.
