Meet Cupid
Cupid, affectionately known as Q in his foster home, is a compact 35lb pittie mix who is approximately a year old. He came to us from Animal Control as a stray, so we don’t know much about his past. What we do know is that he is eager to please his fosters and has already learned some basic commands (sit, shake, touch) and is starting to figure out how to behave properly in a home.
If Cupid had his way, he’d spend the day with you cuddled on the couch with his favorite bone. He loves to chew and knows to concentrate all his chewing on his toys and bones and not on shoes and furniture. That said, he does still have some puppy qualities like being a little mouthy, but he is easily redirected with toys. Cupid has been through a lot of changes recently, so he doesn’t like being alone, but he’s getting better every day and he looks forward to going into his crate with a tasty frozen Kong for a few hours of alone time during the day.
Cupid hasn’t met any other dogs while in foster care, but when he sees another pup in the neighborhood, he seems excited to hopefully say hello. He also hasn’t met any cats, but we’d be happy to setup an intro!
This guy is one smart pup! He picks up commands and manners quickly and enjoys challenging his brain with puzzle toys. It’s been pretty cold since he’s come to the rescue so outdoor time has been limited, but we believe he’s a dog that will enjoy walks and playing in the yard with a ball. He goes gaga for tennis balls!
When he’s done running after tennis balls, he wants nothing more than to love and be loved by you!! He’s very inquisitive and his foster family loves to watch him explore and learn the world around him. He’s a pleasure to have in the home and with more time, consistency, and training he’s destined to be a fantastic addition to any home! He hasn’t met kids yet, but he is very friendly with everyone he meets. Perhaps even a little too friendly since his excitement for people can lead him to jump for joy! He could definitely benefit from some additional training with youngsters and how to be more calm around the little ones.
