-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history - will need a slow and structured introduction for the safety of resident cats.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, with just the right match. Crouton lacks some social skills with other dogs, is a rude greeter, and is easily overwhelmed. Any dogs he is sharing a home with should be well-balanced and very tolerant to prevent conflict with this nervous guy.
-Can do Apartment Living: Yes - but Crouton is not afraid to use his voice to tell you how he feels. Please consider thoughtfully whether or not having a vocal dog will create tension with neighbors who share walls.

-Additional Information: Crouton came to WHS as a stray and is understandably nervous in the shelter environment. He has some handling sensitivities and will need to be in a home without children or visiting kids, as he easily overwhelmed and may escalate if afraid. Crouton obviously wants to be social - he'll solicit attention with play bows and will even let you hold him in your lap if you go slow - but his anxiety makes him conflicted. He needs an experienced dog family who is willing to move at his pace and who will work with him to develop skills that will set him up to succeed and help him grow in confidence.
