MY AGE: DOB 7/12/18 WEIGHT: 15 lbs.
MY STORY:
12/16 Foster update: Oreo is looking for her forever home. She is shy and sweet and loves to cuddle up on the sofa. Likewise, she loves to run and chase her foster dog siblings. Oreo is food motivated and is working on getting used to a leash. While I am at home, accidents are few, and she will use puppy pads if she needs to while I am at work. The ideal family will have a resident dog to model appropriate behaviors and make her feel more comfortable.
Oreo has been with me for two weeks and I am head over heels in love with her! She is shy, but oh so soft, gentle and sweet. Oreo loves to snuggle, whether that is on the sofa or at night in bed. During the day she sleeps in her dog bed in the kitchen.
She is doing a great job with housebreaking, and will use a potty pad inside if she needs to while I am at work. We are still working on not being afraid of the leash.
When Oreo is with her foster dog siblings, she runs around and explores the yard. Not only is she dog friendly, but also keeps a respectable distance from the cat and doesn't bother her.
Everyday she is a little more confident and I see a little more wag in her tail. An ideal adopter will give her the time she needs to come out of her shell. The reward will be worth it! We strongly suggest you have another dog in the home for her to model after. Otherwise, you will have a very difficult time with her.

To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION.
Adopters must be 24 years of age. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess.
