My name is Cream. I am a 6-year-old, 7-ish-pound, Dachshund gal. Sadly, I have spent my whole life in a breeders cage. Being free is the best feeling in the world, and now I'd like to learn what it feels like to be a treasured member of a loving family. Because I've never been a pet before, I don't know about house breaking or being on a leash, but with patience, structure, and love, I know that I can begin to come out of my shell. I am a brave survivor, who has endured unpleasantries that you will never know and I cannot explain. It takes a very special person to embark on the challenge of helping a pup like me transition from a puppy mill to a home, but it is likely to be a very rewarding experience for both of us. You will need to know that everything is new to me. I get along with other dogs and dog savvy cats too, but I will likely be scared of new people and little ones at first. A fenced yard is a must for me, since I am still pretty scared of being on a leash. another dog to help me gain confidence would be nice too, but I could be okay as an only dog, as long as I get plenty of time with my people.
