Meet Crash
Hi, my name is Crash! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: People loving, silly, curious
-Can Live with Kids: Older kids (~16 years and up) may be okay as long as they can handle a large, jumpy dog.
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history with how he does with cats. We would recommend a very slow and supervised introduction process if introducing any feline friends.
-Can Live with Dogs: Possibly, Crash may be able to live with another dog of similar size and energy. A canine friend that is well socialized with other dogs would be best since Crash seems to be a bit unsure of new dog friends. Small or senior dogs are not recommended as he would likely be too overwhelming. Introductions will be scheduled to ensure everyone gets along.
-Can do Apartment Living: Not recommended due to size and energy.
-Potty Trained: Almost, just needs a little help with some marking behavior. This behavior will likely improve after neutering (which we will do!).
-Bite History: None
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Depending on adopters' experience one private lesson may be required.
-Energy Level: High!
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes a neuter.
-Additional Information: Crash is an affectionate boy who is looking for his new forever home. He arrived at the shelter as a stray, so we don't really know anything about his history. We do know that he does well meeting strangers (although he might jump up onto them), and loves to get his neck scratched! Crash could use a little work on some basic manners such as keeping all four paws on the floor, taking treats nicely, and walking appropriately on the leash. He is very intelligent, learns quickly, and is treat motivated which should help with training! An active family would be preferred since Crash is pretty high energy and loves to explore the outdoors. Long walks or frisbee in the yard are great ways to get energy out! Crash would even love to go on long backpacking trips and would keep you warm at night. If you think Crash may be your new best forever friend, please fill out an application!
