Meet Cranberry

Cranberry is ready to share her story! ?

My life should have gone a different way. I should have been adopted shortly after being weaned and already found my forever family. We would already have made some amazing memories together. Alas, that wasn't what happened. Instead, my mom, siblings, and I ended up on our own. We had absolutely no street smarts and it was all our mom could do to keep us together. So, none of us knew what to expect when someone people came up to us. Little did we know that it would send us on a totally new adventure. One that didn't start out good. We ended up in the shelter, but puppies with no vaccinations in a place that holds hundreds of dogs...not a good combo. I don't know if we got sick there or we had already caught it elsewhere. Either way, when we started showing signs of Parvo in the shelter, we needed out by the end of the day. Just like that our lives could have ended before they even began. Because our owners didn't get us vaccinated. Because they let us end up in the shelter. Because they didn't care for us as they should have. I should have never ended up having to fight for my life.

But, maybe this is how it should have gone. Because without ending up on my own, then in the shelter I would have never found this rescue. I might have not gotten treated for Parvo in time if I were still running around somewhere. So, it worked out. It is NOT what I wanted for my young self, but I am a survivor. I overcame everything that came my way, and it is finally time to just be a puppy!

My forever family is out there and I am ready to find them! My name is Cranberry and I am a 10 week old, 9lb female Great Pyrenees/Aussie mix. I am guessing that I will be around 50-60lbs once I am fully grown.

While I am super excited to find my forever family, I do not want to rush into anything. I want you and I both to be sure that we are a match! To help with that, I had my fosters fill out this questionnaire about me.

-How does your foster act when meeting new people?

-Does your foster jump on people?
N/A, she is still too young to say.

-Would your foster dog do good in an apartment?
It would depend on how often her new family is home and their activity level.

-Is your foster a big barker?
N/A, she is still too young to say.

-What would be your fosters ideal home?

Cranberry would do well in almost any home. She would love kids and dogs if they were around.

-Is there anything else you would like to mention about your foster dog?

Cranberry the puppy is the sweetest little girl. She adores people and attention. Cranberry fully enjoys snuggling on your lap, tucking her nose someplace warm, and taking a snooze. So far in our home, she has been calm and laid back. She enjoys occasionally playing with toys and chasing balls. Cranberry deserves a home where she will be rightfully spoiled and welcome on every lap!

Now that you have heard from my foster, let us talk about the logistics of you getting to bring me home! ?

-How can someone adopt me?
The first step is to fill out an adoption app for me at

Once this app comes in, it will get sent on to my foster family and they will help me decide if we are a match or not.

-Where are you being fostered?
I am being fostered in Oklahoma City, OK.

-Would I need to come to pick you up?
Yes, you would need to pick me up. This rescue does not send us on transports. It is less stress on us that way. Plus, you and I can already start bonding on the road trip home! ?

-Can I adopt you even though I don't live in Oklahoma?
Yep, I am not opposed to living in another state!

-How much is your adoption fee?

My adoption fee is $275.

That includes two sets of puppy shots and wormings. I will also have had a bordetella. I will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
