Coyle decided to take a walk on his own one day. He was picked up as a stray and placed in a high kill shelter in rural SC. Obviously, his owner didn't care that he was missing because no one came to the shelter looking for him.

He is a very friendly and affectionate guy who loves everyone. Coyle likes giving kisses and will give a kiss to anyone who wants one. He loves people, he especially adores children. Coyle will cry or whine when walking near a school. He actually snuck out of his foster's backyard to go to the nearby school and play with the children. Belly rubs are heaven for him and he loves getting his head rubbed. Both of these seem to calm and relax him.

This sweet guy does well with cats. He gets along with most dogs, but does best with female dogs. Since he does like to be top dog, Coyle can be a little pushy and likes to play rough with other dogs.

If you're looking for a dog who has lots of energy, Coyle is your guy! A couple of his favorite things are being outdoors and playing fetch. He is a bit of an escape artist, so he will need a yard with a high fence. Coyle likes to chase squirrels, rabbits, deer, etc. Since he loves to eat, he will counter surf to find tasty treats. Coyle loves to chew (eyeglasses seem to be a favorite treat), so he should be crated when left alone. Chew toys and bones are his friends. Since he gets so excited to see people and give them love, Coyle needs to learn not to jump on them. He is at a good age to to continue with his obedience training - he already knows Sit.

Coyle would love to have a person or family who will give him an active lifestyle. Can you please give this wonderful boy the home he needs? He will repay you with happy tail wags, sloppy kisses, and all of his love! Please apply to adopt Coyle today.

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering.
