This sweet and handsome 5-year-old, 50lb heeler/cattle dog is ready to ride into his forever home. Rescued from a high-risk shelter in San Antonio, TX, Cowboy likely never knew the comfort of a real home—but you’d never know it by his kind heart and playful spirit.
He loves toys (especially tennis balls!), is always up for a game of fetch, and is a total foodie—making him eager to learn and fun to train.
Cowboy has medium to higher energy and thrives with structure, exercise, and playtime. He’d do best in a home with older kids (12+) and, since he was likely never socialized with other dogs, he will be happiest as the only pet.
Bonus: Cowboy is a total charmer! If you’re looking for a loyal companion—and maybe even a wingman—he’s your guy.
All he needs now is someone to help him continue to blossom. In return, he’ll give you endless love, loyalty, and joy.
