RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog's breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.<br/><br/>We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

Ross County Humane Society's Adoption Policy

All of our dogs available for adoption can be seen on our website www.rosscountyhumanesociety.org. The website is kept up to date in real time as new dogs come in daily. Adoption fees range from $79 to $250. All interested adoption candidates must apply using the adoption application link to be considered. We only adopt to indoor homes and all current pets must be up to date on vaccines as well as spayed or neutered. Our Shelter is located at 2308 Lick Run Rd. Chillicothe, Ohio 45601
