Franklin:<br/>It's with a heavy heart we are looking for a new home for our beloved dog Franklin. Recently, we had our first baby and the change has stressed Franklin out. He has shown elevated signs of resource guarding his toys, food, and space along with nipping at our baby who is now walking and exploring the world. He has not bitten, but we want to ensure that that doesn't happen for both Franklin and our baby's sake. When not around the baby, Franklin is very goofy, loveable, and energetic. He has been the best adventure partner to us over the past four years that we've owned him. He joins us for trail runs, mountain biking, backcountry skiing, and fishing.<br/><br/>Nothing would make us happier to know Franklin is in a new home that will love him just as much as we do. His perfect scenario would be a home without children or other pets and space to run and play outside.<br/><br/>Franklin is 50 pounds, neutered, up to date on all vaccines, has had no health issues, and is a mix of breeds (although looks like a small lab). We rescued him when he was around nine months old and we are not sure of his history prior to us owning him. He knows all basic commands and is very food motivated with a high drive - so it makes training fun and enjoyable for everyone.
