His manners have improved a lot since he was returned to us, and he will be a great, devoted dog to the right person. He's responsive to his name and to commands. More training will help him do even better. He has a lot of energy, and the best home for him would be either as the only dog with an active owner, or in a home with another very active dog his size or smaller (he doesn't like bigger dogs as much). Cotton *loves* to play, and he plays hard! He can be overwhelming for less active dogs. He has helped organized a whole play group in our little dog exercise yard, and he and his friends race around together. His current pals are Burt, Beatle, and Rosebud.
He has been very well behaved in our house. Just be careful of him in the kitchen- he does like to see what he can get off the table! However, he responds well to training.
He is very affectionate and obedient with our volunteers, and loves to chase balls. When you sit down, he'll jump in your lap and roll over to have his tummy scratched.
*House trained, though will need a refresher in his new home. Great on a leash, and does well when going for walks with other dogs. His favorite walking buddy here is chihuahua Boots.
**On Feb 18, Cotton was one of the dogs that our rescue donated to the Rescue Roundup grooming competition at Groom Expo West in Pasadena. Groomers came from all over the world to attend. Cotton was okay during the actual grooming, but he didn't like having his nails clipped, and was very upset by the blow dryer. Afterwards B&B stayed for an adoption event, and Cotton's manners were perfect. He never barked, and was nice to all the little kids who wanted to pet him. He got along with all the dogs, big and little.

For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section where very thorough instructions await. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, micorchipped, and
fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.
