COSMO is a 10 year old neutered male Yorkshire Terrier/Silky Terrier<br/>mix, weighing in at about 10 pounds. COSMO is housebroken and also<br/>knows some basic commands (sit, stay, paw). COSMO is good with<br/>children, and came from a home with 2 very small children. COSMO loves<br/>to run around and play, and particularly likes to run in the yard. He<br/>is protective of his owners and his home. As a result, loud noises<br/>(door bells, knocks on the door, etc.) rile him up, and he will bark<br/>protectively at "intruders." COSMO is afraid of very large dogs, but<br/>friendly to most small dogs. He is afraid of large dogs because he was<br/>attacked by a neighbor's giant dog in a completely unprovoked situation<br/>where COSMO was on a walk in the neighborhood and this gigantic dog <br/>left<br/>his yard, ran to COSMO and bit him several times. Understandably, <br/>COSMO<br/>is not too keen on big dogs and therefore he will be placed in a home<br/>where there are only other small pets, or where he will be the only <br/>pet.<br/>COSMO's family is giving him up because as their children grow up, <br/>there<br/>are many more visitors to the house, and his protective nature and<br/>guardianship of their front door is becoming more difficult to manage <br/>as<br/>the household becomes more and more heavily trafficked.
