My name is Corduroy and I am a 4-year-old, 22lb, male Miniature Australian Shepherd blend. I am feral and was on my own for a very long time, meaning that you will never make me a “normal” dog and we will not bond like most dog/humans do. Once I learn to trust you, I will take treats from you, but that is all. I am not good with children as they frighten me. I LOVE playing with other dogs as that is my very favorite thing in the world! I am NOT house trained. I would like a home that has a very secure yard because if I get loose - you won’t be able to catch me. I would also need a covered patio or similar area where I can come in from the elements and feel safe. I would also love it if I had another playful dog with me too.

All our dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, receive monthly flea and heartworm preventative, and are micro-chipped with registration.

Please keep in mind that puppies under 16 weeks (4 months) will require an approved application prior to a Meet + Greet, as will all canines in foster care. To determine how old a pet is, please see birthdate above. To determine location, please call our center at 352-429-6334.

If you are planning to drive out to visit a specific doggie, please call the Adoption Center in advance (352-429-6334) to ensure they are ready for a Meet & Greet. Most of our dogs are located at the Adoption Center in Groveland FL, and can be seen during business hours. We are open Monday, Friday, Saturday 10-6, and Sunday 10-5. We are CLOSED Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

In addition to the pets at our center, we do have some pets in foster care. Please call before making the trip out to avoid disappointment.
