Meet Cora
Cora is a sweet young girl, one and a half to two years old, who came to us via the shelter because of a horrific wound on her neck. Someone had put a collar on her when she was young and small, and never took it off! It was embedded inches into her neck, through skin and muscle, and very infected. Such an injury took a long time to heal, with daily dressing changes and lots of Rx. But also, our sweet girl was heartworm positive, so she had to undergo that treatment when she was healthy enough. Cora was in a lot of pain initially but was such a good patient! She has learned to trust and love people again , as well as other dogs. She romps and plays hard with the other fosters, but once playtime is over, she is a snuggle bug! Cora is very affectionate, and would be easily trainable. She's had no problem with children at events, and has a healthy but resoectful curiosity about cats. Of course she is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.
