Hello, my dad let me take the lead on working with our foster.. He also made me write up this description. ;)

Do you like to be active, play around, or nap? Would you want a companion to do all these things? Then Copper is your dog! He is a 35 lb 4.5 year old red healer. He can sit and lay down on command like other dogs, and he can also roll over on command!

Copper is up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives and is neutered. He is house broken, not crate trained, but can spend the work day resting in a portable exercise pen in the house without any issues. He delights in playing around with toys like chewing toys and throwing toys (for playing catch). He also likes napping during the day and sleeping right next to you. He will follow his owner around the house. He enjoys good long walks, and will stay right by your side. He appreciates belly rubs when he is feeling happy. If you play too much with Copper he will get excited and jump or nip, because of this he should be in a house without young children.

He is not perfect, but is getting there. We are socializing him, but it has been a slow process. He will coexist with my dad’s cattle dog mix, but I would not leave them alone without supervision, because of this he should go to a house without other dogs.
