Cooper Border Collie The Woodlands, TX

Meet Cooper, a 2 year old purebred red merle BC boy in Abilene TX. Cooper was rehomed about a year ago and it was recently discovered that Cooper's current owner has had some serious cognitive decline and not been caring for Cooper (and a few other fur friends).

Through the help of a local rescue angel, we were able to get Cooper to a secure spot where he's begun his road to recovery. Initially too weak to even stand, Cooper has hardly any muscle mass and has not received any vaccinations recently. Our rescue angel is getting him used to eating again, and as soon as he is able, will get him to a vet for shots and a thorough exam.

We're going to need a foster for Cooper to help him once he's able to be moved. So far, he has been doing good. He's mainly just concerned with eating and finding food so we have not seen much of his personality other then he is friendly, submissive to other dogs and has more energy and drive now that he is getting some food in him. His new foster will need to have some experience with helping a dog gain weight and muscle after being in poor condition for so long.
