Meet Cooper

Meet Cooper, an 11-year-old Labrador Retriever with the heart of a puppy and the devotion of a lifelong companion. After losing his beloved owner, Cooper found his way into foster care, where he’s adjusting with grace—but deep down, he’s hoping to find a forever family to call his own.

Cooper may be a senior, but don’t let his age fool you—he’s still full of energy and enthusiasm for life. He loves playing fetch, going for walks, chewing on bones, and soaking up all the affection he can get. He’s also an expert snuggler, happiest when he can lounge nearby and keep close to the people he loves. After everything he’s been through, Cooper can be a little co-dependent and doesn’t like being kenneled, but he’s trustworthy in the house and never destructive when left alone. If he barks a bit when you leave, it’s just his way of telling you how much he’ll miss you until you’re back.

This handsome boy is dog-friendly, though he sometimes gets overly excited when meeting smaller pups. He’s not the best fit for a home with cats, but he shines when it comes to people and thrives on companionship. Fully house-trained, taking his medication like a champ, and enjoying some extra wet food toppers to put on a bit of weight, Cooper is in good health and has a lot of love left to give. He knows his basic commands, listens well, and is motivated by love and the occasional bone rather than toys.

One thing to know about Cooper—he’s a bit of a door-darter! His quick paws have already caused a couple of chase scenes, so he’ll need a family that can keep a close eye on open doors.

With his big heart, playful spirit, and unwavering loyalty, Cooper is ready to make someone’s home a little brighter and a lot more full of love. Could you be the one to give him the golden years he deserves?
