Meet Cooper
Cooper is an easy going, very affectionate 1 year old Australian Cattle dog Terrier mix looking for a loving home with another playful dog.
Moderately active guy who has a 'go with the flow' personality.Â
Happy to go for walks, cuddle up on the couch, lay at your feet, accompany you to dog friendly restaurants, coffee shops and visit all the neighbors.Â
Just wants love, a daily walk, attention (but not needy) and a soft place to lounge.Â
Dog friendly with both male and female - would be best with a dog 35 lbs or more.
Housetrained.
Crate trained, although not his favorite, he will go in, but would prefer to be laying at your feet.Â
He enjoys treats, dog toys, long belly rubs, lounging on the pool steps, running around in the snow and zoomies in the yard. Â
Great car rider who likes to feel the fresh air and sunshine on his face.Â
Has had professional training learning how to walk next to his person on leash, and has mastered 'sit, down, stay and off'.Â
Cooper will thrive with an adopter committed to continuing his training and giving him structure.Â
Sleeps through the night in his own bed, but would also love to sleep with his human.Â
Has not been destructive inside or outside.
Not a big barker at all.Â
Smart boy who picks up routines quickly.Â
Has not been cat tested, so we are unable to adopt him to a home with cats.Â
He has been child friendly, but we are recommending children over 13 at this time.
Only homes with a fenced yard for him to do his 'zoomies' will be considered.
We were surprised to find out that Cooper is mostly deaf, because he adapts to most situations and is very in tune to his people, wanting to please.
A positive to that is thunder, fireworks, vacuums and loud noises don't bother him.Â
If you have another playful dog in the home, you wouldn't even know that Cooper is hearing impaired.Â
Cooper is 50 lbs, neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, including rabies, heartworm negative and current on prevention.Â
Cooper is located in the Spokane, WA area.
If you are interested in adding Cooper to your family, you may fill out our application on our website at: https://www.westernaustralianshepherdrescue.com/adoption-application.html. We only schedule meet n greets with a completed application that includes reference checks and a home visit.
