Meet Cooper

You may remember Sarge, who was previously adopted. Sadly his owner contacted us only a couple of months afterward and told us he had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and had to do right by Sarge and return him. Sarge and the man lived alone so there was no one else to take care of him. He had changed his name to Cooper and of course there were many tears upon return. Cooper's owner has passed away now and Cooper is trying to move on. We are looking for a home or foster for him. Cooper can be possessive over the sofa with other dogs so we recommend he not be allowed to claim it (the sofa) in his new foster home if there are other dogs. We want to settle him as soon as possible in a new forever home.

GCDR requires an above ground fully fenced yard, good veterinary history, and home visit to adopt.

We adopt to LA, MS, some parts of AL, and the panhandle of FL only; no exceptions.
