COOKIE Shar-Pei Henderson, NV

A1259894 Cookie is a 3-year-old, 35-pound, spayed female, Chinese Shar Pei. She entered the shelter as a surrender due to the owner unable to keep her confined on her property. Her previous owner also reports Cookie had attacked a cat. She has not lived with other dogs or children (no cats for her too). Cookie needed a lot of medical care upon entry to the shelter. She was spayed, had irritated skin around her rear end treated and had ear infections that were treated. She also got a shot to help her with her allergies. Cookie's arrival here was not pleasant and it took her a couple of days to even allow us to handle her. Our volunteers have worked daily with her and she has come out of her shell and is starting to relax and enjoy the people at the shelter. She is eager to be taken for walks, and although she is still cautious of new people, she warms up quickly to them. She is cautiously interested in the other shelter dogs. A meet and greet is recommended if you have another dog at home. If you have always wanted a Chinese Shar Pei, Cookie is a sweet deal for you!
