Meet COOKIE
Cookie is an adorable, little 'Chiweenie' (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix) who is in need of her forever home. She's about 4-years-old, 11-lbs, and has a beautiful short dapple coat.
Cookie is a healthy little girl who is housetrained and crate trained... she loves her crate and even puts herself to bed at night! Even though it took her awhile, she has mastered the use of a doggie door, and enjoys the freedom of being able to go in and out at will.
Long walks are one of Cookie's favorite pastimes... she walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She loves sitting on the back of the sofa, watching what's happening outside... without even barking! She will bark when someone enters her home, but quickly stops when she knows it's okay. Cookie's a sweet and loving little girl and definitely wants to stay close to her person.
We are looking for a family for Cookie who will be home most of the time so she will not be left alone during the day. Having a fenced yard will also be needed. Cookie currently has a few small dogs in her foster home, and gets along with them, so a home with another small, young, and playful dog would be great.
Cookie has been spayed, is micro-chipped, and is current on her Rabies, DHP/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccines. She tested negative for heartworms and is currently on heartworm and flea prevention.
Cookie’s adoption fee is $300.00.
Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a 3-week trial period with all our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adoptive family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have the perfect “forever” home!
