Connor: Adopted! Pit Bull Terrier Mix Kansas City, KS

10/15/2014: Connor is a super cute little Pit Bull mix puppy. He’s a friendly and happy guy and full of energy. He loves to play with other dogs and gets along very well with dogs. He’d love to have a dog companion in his home. He is 5 months old.

Connor was a stray. He was seriously injured when he was brought to us. He had nerve damage to his rear right leg. We had hoped that he’d regain use of it, but after giving it several weeks to heal, it wasn’t improving and we had to amputate. Connor’s doing really well on three legs, and it hasn’t slowed him down!

Connor was in a foster home for a while. He was working on being house trained, so has some skills and it shouldn’t take too long to get him into a routine. He likes to chew, including play-biting on his human friends, so needs some work on that. He likes chew toys. He probably barks too much for apartment living.

Connor has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He’ll probably be fairly large, 50 lbs or more. He’s a sweet and happy pup!

All of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Puppies who are too young to receive all the necessary puppy boosters and/or first rabies shot may be brought back to us for those vaccines at no extra charge. You will also receive a leash, collar, coupons for pet supplies and services, toys, and educational materials. And we'll give your dog a bath before he or she goes home!

> Please note that we prefer and may require a fenced yard for many of our dogs. Exceptions are made on an individual basis depending on the dog's needs, the person's dog experience, the dog's and person's activity levels, home environment and other factors.

> An application is required to adopt a pet and applicants must meet our adoption requirements. If you decide you'd like to adopt one of our dogs, we reserve the pet for you but we generally don't send the dog home with you that same day.
