Meet Colt
Hi, my name is Colt! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Goofy, playful, a little anxious, exuberant, needy :)
-Can Live with Kids: Colt needs a home with strong, sturdy people ages 16+
-Can Live with Cats: He has lived with cats in the past, but will definitely need slow, supervised introductions with any felines in his new home.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, as long as they can tolerate his rough/rowdy ways. *No small or elderly dogs, please!*
-Can do Apartment Living: No, this big boy needs room to stretch his legs! He's also incredibly vocal.
-Potty Trained: Unknown- he has shown some marking behavior, but this could be specific to the shelter environment.
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, Colt will need to sign up for one private lesson.
-Experience Required: The ideal adopters would have prior experience with large dogs.
-Leash Trained: Yes! Colt walks well on leash most of the time, but is very strong and pulls hard when something catches his interest.
-Energy Level: Medium
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, a neuter.
-Additional Information: This large and in charge dude is looking for a home where his people won't leave him alone for long periods of time. He's a pretty anxious boy and would benefit from continued training and a steady, predictable routine. He's a huge goofball and loves to play with squeaky toys. If you've got room on the couch for this big lug, fill out an application to meet him today!
