Cole Chihuahua & Jack Russell Terrier Mix Stamford, CT

Hi my name is Cole-

I am a 2-3yo Jack chi and I weigh 10.3lbs. They thought I was older at the shelter bc I was so scared I barely barely my head.

I was rescued from the shelter after having been there for a while- you see I was very scared of all the noise and not having anyone with me- so when anyone would come to the kennel I would hide in the corner and growl at them. I didn't want to seem mean- I didn't know what was gonna happen and I couldn't run away- so when I growled they left and even though I was still scared at least nothing else happened to me.

Then these really nice people came to see me- they didn't push me- in fact when then let me out of the kennel I made a run for it it - I ran around and made them chase me at first- I thought for sure they would give up but they didn't and I'm so grateful for that.

Eventually they got me leashed and we sat for over an hour while they would hand me a treat and let me take it. They were so nice that I had gotten so close to them that I almost sat on there lap!!

That was a big deal for me.

I've been in foster care a few days now- and I am doing really well. I know to use the bathroom outside. I like my crate here bc it has everything I could want- a soft bed, a blanket- and toys! I love toys!

They have other dogs here- some really big and really small- I prefer to play with the small dogs like me but I'm fine as an only pet too. I don't know how I would be with a cat to be honest I just haven't met one and if I did I don't remember.

I don't think I want to live with kids under 10yo bc I'm get nervous sometimes,
I'm still scared of loud noises and a lot of commotion. I get better everyday I'm out of the shelter but I need my forever family to be patient and trust that I will trust them- I just need some time to get to know them and the new routine.

I am very gentle when I get treats and when I play with toys- I know to bring them back to you and give them to you, or let you take them from me. I love love love to go for walks they make me happy. I will bark at dogs I don't know, bc like I said I get scared, but if you tell me to stop and tug me along I realize I don't have to worry.

I'm getting neutered Friday Feb 5th- so I will be ready to go then!

Maybe I can meet you before that and then you could adopt me after?!? Thats definitely something to consider!

So now you know alot about me. Will you be my forever family?
