Meet Cole

Please say hello to Cole! Cole is a rare Cesky Terrier who came into BCFS’ foster care program in late February. This senior boy is 13 years young with a puppyish love of belly-rubs. He will happily roll over for one, and do a cute wiggle to show how much he enjoys it.

His beautiful wavy coat is soft, thick and gorgeous shades of grey. Pet him, and he’s your new best friend. Cole will bond quickly with you and follow you everywhere.

Cole’s mom suffers from dementia and had to enter a nursing care facility, so Cole was losing his longtime home. His mom’s caregiver wanted to make sure Cole found a loving forever home so she chose BCFS to foster and rehome him. Our vet brought Cole up to date on his vaccinations and dewormed him on March 7th, and diagnosed that he needed extensive dental work. Cole had a dental and 11 abscessed teeth extracted on March 20th.

Cole is a handsome boy who loves the comfort of relaxing on the couch with his people (he will need a little help getting up and down from furniture). He’s crate-trained and likes the feeling of security he gets from his little crate - his world has changed so much, his crate is a source of stability for him.

Cole would love to get settled into a caring home where he knows he’s wanted, loved and there forever. Cole will bark a little when crated for the night but soon settles and will sleep through the night in his crate, or he’d likely do fine with a soft doggie-bed outside of his crate.

Cole is able to go down stairs on his own, but will need help getting upstairs. He loves a daily walk, and would be perfect for an older person or couple who like relaxing strolls with an easygoing senior dog.

Cole must be adopted to A HOME WITH NO OTHER DOGS; he’s not suited to sharing a home with another dog due to some aggression towards a smaller dog. Cole loves people and has no aggression towards people, he's friendly and charming.

If Cole would be a good fit for your family, please download an adoption application from our website at: http://beavercreekfarm.co/home/. When completed, email it to our Adoptions Coordinator Silvana at: scronier@rogers.com.

Thank you for considering Cole!
