Meet Colby
Meet Colby~
Loved and adored by staff from the shelter he came from, Colby is a kind and sweet boy! Marked urgent as his 60 days were up, he was scheduled to be euthanized! Luckily his guardian angels from the shelter reached out to us about Colby and his awful predicament. We are so happy to have him safely with us!
At 4 years old, he is an adult but he is a baby at heart! When he tries to tell you something and you don't understand, he does the cutest little cry or whine! He loves to go for walks (although he does need some work on not pulling on leash) and will come running from wherever he is if you ask him if he wants to go for a walk! He adores going on walks!
When he's in front of a crowd that is admiring him, he really knows how to work it! Rubbing against legs, falling on the floor on his back, running in circles chasing his tail, this guy is hilarious!
Colby asks for nothing but does love going outside! He is perfect with other dogs and can eat and sleep with dogs of any age/size. As for playing with other dogs, he doesn't. Colby could live with a ton of other dogs but couldn't even notice them, as his eyes are always on his humans! Colby does get playful and silly, but he will only chase his own tail, or try to get his humans to play with him!
Although he doesn't really look like it, Colby does not seem to have one mean bone in his body! He is not fearful in any way, but he is more babyish than brave.
Basically, Colby is the whole package and then some! He is a flat-out wonderful dog that we can't say enough about! We could see Colby going into basically any loving home, that is, providing they can handle him on leash, train him to do better on the leash, or be willing to use a harness or something that will make walking him easier!
Being quite smart, Colby is potty trained, knows sit, down, paw, and speak!
He is great with cats and can even been loose in a room full of kittens!

We are a small rescue run by volunteers & focused on finding the right match for both our dogs & for you. If you are interested in adopting through our rescue, you first will need to complete an adoption application & be approved as a potential adopter before meeting any of our pups. No need to be intimidated by our application as it allows us to get to know you & your lifestyle. Of course, the more you can share the better! Please also note, while a fenced yard is fantastic, it is not required by our rescue, however, it may be required for a certain dog occasionally. Once adoption applicants are approved to become potential adopters, we offer private appointments where you can meet one or several dogs at the discretion of the rescue. We offer a unique & pleasant experience focused on finding the perfect match. It is extremely important to us that everyone is treated with respect & that NO ONE IS LEFT HANGING. WE WILL GET BACK TO YOU WITHIN 2 TO 3 DAYS of application submission. If there is a dog you are eager to meet, please TEXT US DIRECTLY at 203-241-2351 so that we can check the status of your application and move it forward immediately. SOME PROVIDERS HAVE VERY STRICT POLICIES REGARDING WHICH TYPE OF DOG BREEDS ARE ALLOWED UNDER THEIR COVERAGE. STATE FARM WAS SUGGESTED TO US AS THEY DO NOT PUNISH, DROP, NOR REFUSE YOU DUE TO DOG BREED SHOULD YOU RUN INTO ISSUES WITH YOUR CURRENT PROVIDER.
