Meet Colby

NOW IN NEW ENGLAND!

Please meet Colby! He is a Yorkie weighing in at 15 lbs of total cuteness! He was a stray that came into our partner shelter in West Memphis, Arkansas. He was severely matted and required immediate grooming and skin care. He is doing much better now and is so much cooler and happy since he has been groomed. He has probably not had an easy life based on how timid he can be at times. He is a sensitive little guy and he makes you just want to wrap your arms around his little body. The shelter said that he had been there before, so we do know that he is an escape artist or he was just terribly unhappy where he was living. He has not tried to escape his foster home, but we are super diligent. He is working on being housebroken, is crate trained and loves to go for walks and rides in the car. He loves to play zoomies, especially with his friends. He loves toys, but truly loves just snuggling with you whenever he can. He has an adorable personality, is loads of fun and loves to play catch me if you can. He loves ice cream outings, movie nights and being by your side. His hair is much shorter now, but if you are into grooming, it grows long and beautiful. He is full of energy at times and would enjoy playing with children, as long as they are respectful of his size.

This precious little man won’t last long!

ADOPTION INFORMATION:
We are a foster-based animal rescue and we thank you for your interest in one of our animals. Our animals are fostered in various locations in the a South and in New England. Our fosters and adoption coordinators are the backbone of what we do. Our fosters work tirelessly to integrate our rescue animals into their home, so that we can provide as much information to potential adopters as possible. In addition, our coordinators offer as much information regarding the medical and behavioral and personality characteristics as is known to our organization. Without them, and our extremely generous donors, we would not be able to save as many animals as we do every day. With each adoption, we operate a Pay It Forward program, whenever possible, to help other animals in our rescue and future animals in need.

If you are interested in one of our animals, please complete an application. The application link can be found on our Petfinder homepage under the picture. You may also find our application on our website at www.petmatchmakerrescue.com under the Adopt page. If they are listed on our website, their adoptions have not been finalized yet. That does not mean that we have not received several applications, already. Please complete an application if you are interested and we will keep you apprised of their current status. We are all volunteers who work full-time jobs and have animals of our own, so please be patient with us. We will get back with you as quickly as possible.
