Our sweet shy Coffee Bean is looking for a patient home.
This special girl was discarded after being used for breeding and was terrified of the world. She's a sweet cuddly velcro dog once she bonds and loves her many friends. She gets nervous of noises and fast movements especially outside and isn't always comfortable on walks but loves doing zoomies in our fenced play yards at the shelter. Housebreaking has been a bit of struggle for her but she is crate-trained, and needs structure and supervision as well as a quiet area outside to relieve herself without distractions or a lot going on that may startle her.
Sadly, Coffee Bean has a heart murmur, likely congenital heart disease and is on 2 medications longterm to try to help support her heart. She's stable right now but will need at least annual vet visits and echocardiograms to follow up as well as daily medication longterm. We believe she is middle aged, maybe 4-6 years old and is under 50lbs full grown with a short stocky build.
