Meet Cody

Hi, my name is Cody! I am approximately 2 years old. I came to HSJC from an overcrowded shelter in Modesto, CA, where I'd landed as a stray.

I am a loving, intelligent, energetic young boy. I love my walks on leash, and I don't pull too much either. I like to play with toys, and particularly love chew toys. I'm active and need daily exercise. I was tested with other dogs at the previous shelter, and even housed with them, and I was fine.

I am up to date on my rabies, DAPP and bordatella vaccines, micro-chipped, and tested negative for heartworm (the vet recommends I be kept on prescription heartworm preventative medication for the next 6 months, since I did come from a region where heartworm can be found).

My adoption fee is $150 (+$20 county dog license, if residing within Jefferson County). Staff takes applications for all the dogs here to find us homes that suit our individual needs.
