Coda German Shepherd Dog & American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Seattle, WA

Hi there! My name is Coda and I’m a loyal, incredibly smart, and affectionate dog looking for a forever home. I currently weigh 45 pounds and have a unique and wonderful lineage—my dad was a German Shepherd, and my mom is a mix of American Staffordshire Terrier, Labrador Retriever, and Malinois (yes, my DNA has been tested!).

My Story:

I started my journey in Houston, Texas, where my first foster family took wonderful care of me. They love me so much and are working closely with my current foster family in West Seattle to find me the perfect forever home. I have had so many wonderful people rooting for me along the way!

I will thrive in an environment with patience, structure, and confidence-building through positive reinforcement training. I go on regular public outings to be exposed to new people and environments, helping me grow into a well-rounded companion.

I love my crate—it’s my safe space, and I sleep in it each night. I am also house trained.

I love to go on walks and runs, but I don’t need excessive physical exercise to be happy. A few good outings and playtime each day are enough to keep me calm and snuggly at home. My favorite place is curled up on the couch next to my people, where I can relax and enjoy their company.

I much prefer the company of women as opposed to men.

I love to play with other dogs and am currently in a home with three other dogs.

I have also been learning how to coexist with cats in my foster home! I kind of like the little creatures.

Because I can be a little nervous, a quiet, structured home is best for me.

I am food-motivated, and eager to please—I love learning new things!

I walk like a dream on a leash—I haven’t been reactive to other dogs or distractions while out on walks.

I love to play fetch, chew on toys, and engage in mentally stimulating games to keep my busy mind happy. I do well with enrichment activities—puzzle toys, snuffle mats, and interactive games. They help keep me engaged and fulfilled.

I am great in the car and enjoy road trips. I would love to be your adventure buddy.

I am spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
