Hi my name is Cocoa. I am a mixed breed about 2 years old. I’m medium energy and I will cuddle on the couch with you.

I weigh approximately 30kg, I am losing a little weight, I had my last litter before I came into New Hope. My foster mom says my ears and eyes are my best features. I’m also a typical red head that is a touch stubborn and feisty. I’m food motivated. I recently learned to give a high five.

It takes me a bit to warm up to new places, people and things, you see my first part of life I lived outdoors. With proper and slow introductions I do good. I don’t like being in a crate and I have learned to be good out by myself. If I’m let out regularly or taken for a walk shortly after I eat, I will not have any accidents in the house.

I need slow introductions to other dogs as I’m not always a fan of them. I definitely did not like the cat at the vet. I have a high prey drive. I would do best in a quieter home with older kids. I get nervous if there is too much going on and fast or loud movement.

With obedience training I will be a great companion. If you are willing to go to obedience with me I will be a loyal and loving companion. I need patience as I continue to learn to just be a dog and be a fantastic family member.

Cocoa has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, current on age appropriate vaccines and has received a health check from a vet. adoption fee is $295.
