Meet Coco Bean

Meet Coco Bean!

*Coco Bean will be traveling to WI in the middle of January and will be able to go home at the end of January.*

Hi, I’m Coco but my foster mom calls me Coco Bean alot. I know I don’t look excited to meet you, but I really am. I am a little down in the dumps after the family I loved for 9 years left me in a shelter. I am a 9 year old sweetheart who weighs 20 precious pounds. My foster says I’m a sweet boy, I just need patience. She has been so understanding of my feelings and I have really started to open up with her. She even found my special spot I like to be scratched, if you get it just right I show all of my teeth like I’m smiling (hint it’s on my back). I also have a little human foster sibling here who I like to watch. He's two. Sometimes he will lay on the couch and I will go lay near him, you know just to help watch. But I don’t really like to play with him, I just watch him play.

My favorite spot in the whole world is on a couch, preferably the back of a couch. I like to be tucked in at night so I can have good dreams. I don’t cuddle my foster yet but I do like to lay near her if she’s hanging out. I also like food, whip cream specifically. That stuff is amazing. Once I’m done eating I like to bury whatever I didn’t eat so no other dogs get it. I get along with other dogs, I just don't want them to take my leftovers. My foster mom has 5 dogs of her own and 3 other fosters! They range from 10lbs-90lbs and I get along with them all. I don’t really play yet but I don’t mind being around them. If they come in my personal space I may let them know they are too close, but I would never hurt anyone. I'm hoping I find my forever family who will let me warm up to them at my own pace, and love me for who I am! Will it be you?

Albert's Dog Lounge is a transporting dog rescue, meaning that we rescue many of our dogs from high kill shelters in areas of dog overpopulation. We are a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. The vast majority of our dogs come from the Houston, TX area where we have an entire team of volunteers, coordinators, and fosters. We do also work with local shelters, rescues, and owners. If you apply for a dog that is currently in our local Houston program, we will work to get your dog transported to WI as quickly as possible. We ask that you have patience during this time of uncertainty and unprecedented dog adoptions nationwide.

Learn more about Albert's Dog Lounge, our mission, and adoption policies by visiting Albertsdoglounge.org.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $275.
