Coco - a little quirky but, so affectionate! Australian Shepherd Stanton, KY

Coco is a little bit of a special case due to his sheltered background. He is 4 yrs old and his size is a hearty 59 lbs. Henis neutered and utd on vaccines. He has beautiful blue eyes.
He came to us after his owner fell ill. His home was a single woman and he was inside kept with little socialization with other folks and pets. He did share the home with a cat. He was rarely allowed outdoors. However, while in our care he has learned a leash and enjoys the outdoors; seems to love it but, he will be very loyal to have a family near. He is loving & affectionate and can be super happy! His only issue was getting a little nervous with new things but, he has come along so well!

Coco is meeting strangers easier than he was initially. He does great with our staff.
We dont recommend children due to his not wanting to be suddenely pulled or jumped on. He is good with cats and most dogs if well behaved. He will be a good loyal pet in an adult home.

He likes toys and shows us he can be a happy boy. Experience with his type personality is recommended.

We are a rural shelter with high intakes. As a result, the shelter dogs are not guaranteed safety. We do our best but, we need help.

ADOPTION FEE - $150 (We are not set up for credit or debit payments.)

The shelter is open Monday thru Friday from 9 - 3 p.m. except Thursdays (closed). Saturday hours are by appt.

After hours appts can be arranged with advance notice and an approved application. We want to accommodate!
