Meet Coco

Meet Coco!

*Coco is in our Houston foster program and will be able to travel at the end of January.*

Hello, my name is Coco. I'm a 10 year old, 12 pound beautiful little lady looking for a forever home where I can be close to my new humans. I've never been around kids here in my foster home, but foster mom says as long as they are calm and older I'd likely do well with them. Little ones who are a bit more hyper would probably be too much for me now that I'm older. I'm a laid back lady, and I'd like my new home to be laid back as well. I get along with other animals, both cats and dogs, but show no interest in playing with them, I'd rather just lay next to them if my humans aren't available to cuddle next to. I'd love to sit next to you on the couch or chair, on your lap, or snuggle right up next to you in bed, but I'll need your help on and off the furniture. My back gives me problems sometimes if I try to do it myself because of an old injury. I certainly don't like when my humans leave the house without me and will protest for you to return, so I shouldn't live in an apartment. I'm not destructive, but I don't ever want to be a bother to others. I'd really appreciate if my forever humans could be home with me more often than not, or even take me with them places! This will also help with me being able to go outside to potty more often since I need to go out frequently. I do know how to use potty pads if you aren't home, or available to take me out. At night time it's probably best if I wear a diaper. That's really the biggest thing about me, otherwise I'm easy peasy!

I really enjoy going for walks and do very well walking on a leash, in fact this is one of my most favorite activities! I think car rides are pretty fun too, and sit like a good girl in the car. My most favorite time of day is meal times and I promise to always show you how excited I am to eat. I want to make my humans happy any way I can, and if that means you just need someone to talk to, I'd be the perfect girl for that! I dream of being a companion to someone that will accept my love in the form of kisses, and hug and love me in return! Maybe you can be my new, forever human?

Albert's Dog Lounge is a transporting dog rescue, meaning that we rescue many of our dogs from high kill shelters in areas of dog overpopulation. We are a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. The vast majority of our dogs come from the Houston, TX area where we have an entire team of volunteers, coordinators, and fosters. We do also work with local shelters, rescues, and owners. If you apply for a dog that is currently in our local Houston program, we will work to get your dog transported to WI as quickly as possible. We ask that you have patience during this time of uncertainty and unprecedented dog adoptions nationwide.

Learn more about Albert's Dog Lounge, our mission, and adoption policies by visiting Albertsdoglounge.org.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
