Meet COBRA
***PACC is at critical capacity, meaning that there are more dogs in the shelter than there is room. This has resulted in the creation of a euthanasia list, which identifies dogs who may be at risk of euthanasia in the near future. This pet and others are on that list. If you are interested in adopting or fostering, please ask about this pet!*** PACC Euthanasia List Cobra is a beautiful shepherd with the fluffiest ears and a smile that can light up a whole room!! She came to PACC recently as a stray, so a safe and secure yard is a must for this lady in her future home. Cobra has lived in two different homes in her young life and is in search of her true forever home now. Shed love to find a breed savvy family who can channel all her fantastic shepherd instincts into positive pursuits! Heres what volunteers have said about Cobra: What a sweet, gentle girl. I entered Cobras kennel to leash her and she was a bit shy, but sniffed my hand and we made friends easily. She is a beautiful walking companion- not reactive to dogs in or out of the shelter, does not pull, and stays near your side. She is a bit nervous, but I think will blossom with the right family. My first time walking Cobra. Leashing was easy and we made a calm exit past the other barking dogs in the shelter. She was slightly nervous until we got out the gate, but quickly settled into a loose-leash walk at my left hip. I expect she has had some training as her leash manners were quite refined (100% loose-leash during the entire walk). There was no reactivity to other dogs or humans we encountered as we went around the lake. We stopped under a shady tree to take in the view, and she accepted gentle touch and affection. I offered some low-value treats, which she inspected but was otherwise uninterested. We resumed our loose-leash walk around the lake and calmly returned to her own kennel. Unleashing was easy. I stayed in her kennel for a few minutes and again offered treats, which she took with a gentle mouth. She was soon soliciting both treats and affection. Cobra is a wonderful dog with a calm demeanor and refined leash manners. She enjoys human companionship, and will make an affectionate partner for a lucky adopter. Cobra has quite a few staff and volunteer fans who are rooting for her. In fact, one volunteer will be working with her on muzzle conditioning, crate training, and basic obedience skills. The sky is the limit for this sweet Shep! Cobra has shared her kennel with another dog her size and was appropriate and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. However, she will most likely do best as your one and only and the center of your attention. Please ask to meet Cobra today!!
